What a great Mini-vous weekend in Kingston! A couple dozen friends, fun, food – plus perfect weather and calm seas coming & going. Amazing what Gerry & Barb (“she can make anything”) achieved with their creativity, organization, and a lot of work! (They sure leveraged Panntoa’s seed money many times over.) A relaxed balance of a little boat-knowledge seriousness (line-handling, knot tying, etc.) with a lot of opportunity to get to know our old and new Nordic/Panntoa friends better.
Photos couldn’t do justice to the experience (especially my photos), but here is a small taste of the dockside gatherings, the spam-carving contest (“taste” might not be the best descriptor), capped off with a gorgeous sunset. And the hospitality and support from the Port of Kingston was friendly & superb – we can highly recommend Kingston for good moorage, a low-key seaside village, or a fuel stop.
